1.Test 2.Read Bernie Hobson article The unsexiest thing in Science Write down 3 things you knew, 3 things you learned and up to 3 things do not understand.
Complete the reading of Bernie Hobson Article. Write an introduction for the prac (i.e. what does the SA to Volume ration have to do with cell theory) based on your reading or other references. Do not make it long half a page is sufficient. Write an aim using the prac rubric.

Learning Intentions (We Are Learning To)
To understanding the relationship between surface area and volume and the role it plays in determining of size in living organisms
How to write a scientific practical report.
1. Carry out a Practical Investigation to help us determine relationship between SA and Volume.
Give some everyday examples to illustrate how it works
Prac - Red onion and osmosis
Draw or take scientific diagrams of the onion cells in 3 solutions. Label and annotate diagrams using a computer to help explain what is happening. Give each drawing/photo a caption.
Define Isotonic,hypertonic and hypotonic solutions.
Homework - Complete collaborative prac on cell size and volume:SA ratio. Make sure all parties proofread and edit all parts of final report.
Give Back Tests - Go through test and find answers for questions. Highlight the ones you cannot do so I can go through them with you next Tuesday.
